Hello all,

I'm currently reapplying to the class of 2014 after being put on the "waitlist" until July 14th for the class of 2013.

I'm wondering if my SMART transcript from the past two years I've been active duty would bare any weight towards my application.

For those who don't know, the SMART transcript give sailors and marines corresponding college credits for the classes and training which they have gone through for the rating/MOS.

Being that I spent nearly 18 months in 3 different tech schools for my rating, I've earned about 54 credits. Some of the credits are for things such as: Physical Education, Health and Wellness, Computer Architecture, Oceanography, Military Science, and multiple different types of Electronics and troubleshooting courses.

I'm currently emailing my BGO the same question, but I figure I'll ask here as well to gain any other insight and/or opinions. Thanks in advance.

Anything else that makes you look good can't hurt, so I would say submit it regardless. Especially if any of those courses were not manditory because that will show initiative as well.

First, congratulations on each of your accomplishments. By all means I would submit the SMART transcript if you have earned college credit for your training. In fact, once you reach the Academy you may have the opportunity to test out on some of the related courses. USNA does request transcripts for any college credits that have been earned post-secondary.
