Prior Service MS2 invited to CIET this month? Why, how come? Ideas?

Prior Service (Any Branch) will not go to CIET
-PMS can make exception if he/she feels the cadet needs more development
SMP Cadets who have completed BCT cannot go to CIET

Hi Guys,

Confused by the above now. I just got invited to CIET as a prior service that's
undergoing graduate studies. My doubt, why would they want to send me to CIET
if I am prior service? Likely because PMS believes I need the training?
I already did BCT/AIT ending successfully last December, why would
they want me to go to this as a 33 years old cadet?

PMS thinking I am weak at something? That'll be a surprise, what am I missing?

I would not read anything into this. DS is an upcoming MSIII, currently in a leadership position, 3.4-3.5 GPA, 290+ on AFPT, did CULP last year and was a awarded a $5000 scholarship last year for being an outstanding cadet so I doubt his PMS thought he needed more development. Per DS all of the contracted non engineering cadets in his unit that are upcoming MSIII's are going, 6 in total I believe. Just my 2 cents... the army is trying to get as many ROTC cadets through this training regardless of prior service to be more uniform in the training of their officers. Probably trying to follow the footsteps of AF and Navy, if I'm not mistaken all of their cadets go through MAX SFT and do the cruises no matter what to move on to commission. I have no basis for this other than a wild guess.

Similar scenario here with GPA and APFT, wondering if they'll pay for mortgage, basic/ait type of e-4/e-5 salary. New to this one, the more inform the better
as I'll be calling my cadre soon about this. One of my MS4 friends told me this adds to OML points, all the training taken count towards added benefits or points..
can't found this online yet.
