I know a lot of you guys are going on leave before you go to USAFA Prep. I just got an email from the superintendent/ First Shirt at the prep. I saw that most of the emails in there were .mil domains, so I figured I'd relay the message where I could.

Good afternoon future Prep School Students! I am the Superintendent and Acting First Sergeant at the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School, and I’d like to say Congratulations, and we can’t wait for you to arrive! (If you have no knowledge of this, and have received this email by mistake, please disregard.)

I’d like to give all of you some important reporting information that was not included in your welcome package.

-Your reporting date and time is 6 Jul 2011 @ 1000 hrs. You will report to the F-100 static aircraft display in front of the Prep School dorms. See attached directions.
-If you arrive to Colorado Springs prior to 6 Jul, you will stay in lodging off base. Billeting does not have availability for all of you. You can contact billeting at DSN 333-4910 or 719-472-1940 to get off base lodging information. You will need a non-availability letter from billeting to file your travel voucher, but you do NOT need it before you make a reservation. I am working on getting letters for you, so don’t worry about this, at this time.
-Keep all travel receipts (air, taxi, gas, food, etc.). You will need them to file your travel voucher.
-You must have at least $20 cash on you when you arrive, to purchase meals.
-Report in ABU with your current rank on your uniform. You will remove this after arrival.
-Your personal items should not exceed one bag. Your living quarters are small, and there is no need for lots of stuff.

If you have an emergency during travel, or for some reason will not arrive on time, please call me at the numbers below. Please do NOT call my cell unless it is an emergency. You can leave a voicemail on my desk phone if I don’t answer, and I will call you back.

If you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them for you.
