Protein in urine

Hi all,

I've seen a few threads about protein being detected in the urine. Most of which calls for a repeat test since the protein is just caused by dehydration/activity.

My question is what about a history of protein in the urine. I've had it since I was little. My kidney function is fine and I have no underlying problem like kidney disease, diabetes, failure, etc. My mom has had me see a specialist for years and I am currently on medication as a complete precautionary measure. I have no ill effects from the condition and my doc believes there will be no undue burden from joining. While on the medicine, my protein levels are within acceptable ranges and I have years of lab reports to back this up.

Unfortunately, I feel that this is still disqualifying and I suspect waivers for this condition are hard to come by. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
