So proud to announce my DS has been accepted to VMI! It was his #1 choice. Thanks to everyone who has contributed info on SMCs on this forum!

Congrats! Its a wonderful school. Hard....but the bonds between the brother rats are worth it. We'll be in Lexington this weekend for my DS Ring Figure. Rah VA Mil!

This is the first time in 4 years that I'm not making the trip to VMI. My DS just graduated, it's a great place to visit from a parental standpoint. Much more fun for us than our kids! I am seriously considering retiring to Lexington.

Yes! I was impressed with my daughters acceptance package. Curious, have they gotten back to you with any financials? Her post view still has nothing regarding merit scholarships, etc.

I haven't gotten anything regarding Financials. My DS just had his ROTC interview with VMI ROTC 2 weeks ago and - according to him - he won't hear anything from them until January at the earliest. We just received the medical packet to complete today.

If it helps ease your mind, my DS did not receive his financial package from VMI until July 2022. He has a AROTC 2 Yr AD Scholarship so this first year was on us so Ii was very much interested to see what it was.
