The April 2018 version of AFROTCI 36-2011 has some changes and other info in it that are well worth reviewing, in light of recent questions and answers on here. It is much more streamlined than previous versions in my opinion.
Some takeaways:
Para. 2.2.2.2 - Better clarity on Reserve/ANG members' status and commissioning routes. Aka "pursuing status", and the routes by which active USAFR/ANG cadets may participate uncontracted in the AF ROTC and commission into ADAF.
Para. 2.4.3 - Contracted cadets that are disenrolled incur an ADSC and may be forced to enlist.
Para. 2.4.6.1.3 - Declining a commission after taking the scholarship will cause you to incur a 4-year enlistment (not "may") after you complete your degree.
Para. 3.1.1.2 - Being enrolled as a "full-time student" (presumably regardless of registering-for or taking any classes) at a junior college or university after HS automatically disqualifies you from HSSP.
Para 3.5 - New section that details how the "5-year" scholarships work, and the extension of the ADSC required for them.
Attachment 3, Para A3.2 - Suggested interview plan, with suggested interview questions for the HSSP interviewer (hint, hint)
There is more in there, but the above sections highlight a few of the areas that pertain to recent discussions I've seen on SAF.
No yelling at me-- this is just a PSA.
