Good place to take the measurements. Also, for future Plebes and families, don't get overly concerned about the measurements. They will be measured and re-measured at nearly every fitting at USNA, so basically 1-2 times a week during PS. They use these measurements to mostly get an idea of what sizes to order. On I Day one of their first stops will be measurements. They will then go around a maze and collect more clothes than they can ever fathom. One of their last stops in Alumni Hall is to try all the gear on. If it doesn't fit, they will get different sizes until right (don't worry when you see them on I Day... white works will be way too long and super stiff. they get much softer and they will go to the tailors in the first few days and have them all shortened). Every time they go to the tailor shop for their working blues, summer whites, SBDs, etc they will be re-measured, try on, get marked for tailoring. Tailors are free for uniforms and can be tailored throughout your time at USNA.
