PTR

DS received his PTR in the mail today. He was at a swim meet all day, followed by a Teppan Yaki dinner, fundraising event for aquatics program at school and now off to visit his GF. I stared at the packet, read a few things and chose (instead) to drink a glass (or 3) of wine! This is one WILD RIDE...good thing I'm in for it! As is he...or, I guess, we wouldn't even be here! Oh the Places You'll Go.....

Yep. Still waiting in FL. But you can download the entire packet from Academy website.
Still waiting in ME....and yes, we are at the tail end of the alphabet (not sure this has anything to do with the continued wait). Not sure I want to download and print all that paper???

This morning, DS heard from admissions that they haven't sent out all the PTR's yet so it could be as much as a couple more weeks before receipt...our last name starts with B, DS was appointed in early Dec and accepted in 2016, so apparently those factors don't necessarily govern the process

Interesting...everything but the B applies to DS here too. Not just the user names that are similar :)

Regarding Uniforms and measurement: Then upon graduation if they go USMC they get measured again and another 3K$ and all that Navy gear is lost or given away. Don't worry about it. Nnothing ever fits upon issue but they figure it out.

Does anyone know how we can make sure all the documents are submitted and filled out right? I'm almost done filling out the forms and will send them to USNA in a few days. Should I call them like a week after sending it to confirm all the documents are there and filled out properly?

Not sure how USNA works but I do work for a large private college and we discourage applicants from calling to "double check" especially a short week after they submitted. Now a days with the online services, you will be notified about your status. All of these docs have to be scanned back into a system I would assume. That takes a long time to process.
However, I will defer to those who have more knowledge.

I think you are fine. As long as you filled out the forms and sent them with a tracking number to verify it was received. If anything does get lost you can always fill it out on I-Day.

Received my son's in Indiana yesterday. He arrives home from DC tonight after wrapping up the national "We the People" competition.

I am enjoying this thread. Remembering what a confusing mumbo jumbo all that PTR stuff was. We dove right in, ate the paper elephant one bite at a time. Thought we had done it all. Still on I-day when we had that cherished 30 minutes with DS, he told me they had given him 2 shots. I wanted to know what 2 shots because I had checked all that and swore he was all good. His reply..."Dad they said take em so I shut up and took em" It was right then that I should have predicted his success lol.
