Pull ups or bar hang?

Hello. I have been practicing for my CFA and am very happy with my times except the throw (working on it!) and pull ups. I can only do 1-2 pull ups and can hang for over 40 seconds.

I have had mixed messages on whether one pull up is better than an above-minimum time bar hang.

I found a generic app that estimates scores but it does not give many points for 1-2 pull ups.

Do the pull ups, one pull up is better than a maxed arm hang. Good luck!
 
Pull Ups!

Even if you max the bar hang, it is still considered less points than 1 pull up. If you can confidently do 1 or 2 pull ups, then do that instead of bar hang.

Adrenaline story for pull-ups:

My DS was consistently doing 15 pull-ups in his practice CFAs. Wen he did the official one, he was in his high school weight room, heavy metal music playing and his weight lifting coach was in the room - my DS did 18. I congratulated him and asked him how he pulled that out - he said the music helped, and he was trying to impress his coach.
 
Well, I did my test and only got one pull-up. The bar felt thicker than my practice bar...and it was outside the school and people ran by right as I went so I got distracted. Honestly, I worked really hard just to be able to do even one so I’ll take it....for now.

Here are my scores, obviously I need to work on upper body strength.

BB - 37
Pull ups -1
Push ups - 45
Shuttle- 7.8
Sit ups- 85
Mile- 6.05
