Hello,
I am currently in the process of applying to West Point, and I have a serious problem. I can only get 4- 5 pull-ups, any tips to increase these in one month to 6 weeks. ????

This might help a little bit:

use wrist wraps (in the beginning) to help with gripping the bar... May help

You can also use a thin pair of gloves to start (to protect your fingers and still allow you to develop some thick calluses) and then transition to using your bare hands. That's what I did and I did 20 pullups.

Rest a couple days before doing your official CFA.

Also, I got in with 7 pull-ups.
Is that good? No.
Did it work out for me? Yes.

What helped me a lot when I was in that range a couple years ago was doing many sets of pull ups many times a week, so basically volume. If you can do 5, do several sets of 3 about 4-5 times a week. Also make sure you are using proper form, pause at the bottom and let your shoulders cover your ears, then pull all the way up and get your chin well over the bar. Good luck!

Get a pull up bar and put it in your bedroom doorway. Do some pull ups or some negatives every time you walk in/out of your room. Doing pull ups with an elastic band will help too
