Hi y'all!

So I was borderline overweight when I took my physical exam for the DoDMERB. USAFA requested that I have my body fat percentage determined by a tape test. I got that done and a few days later, I got a letter from USAFA that my body fat "exceeds the Air Force Academy entrance standard" and that "the Admissions Office will consider you for a waiver and/or ask that you be re-measured." However, I just got the results from DoDMERB, and it says that I am "Qualified" on both the DoDMERB portal and my USAFA application. There was nothing about a waiver or anything. Am I still not qualified according to USAFA?

Dodmerb qualifies you medically. Height/weight is separate from that.

Hope everything went well with your acepttance to the AF Academy, please keep us update, my dd is in the same boat, if you dont mind to ask, how many pounds extra were you?, and how many months to take it off?

If you are DODMERB qualified, then you are medically qualified. However, the USAFA can still deny you admittance based on their own reasons.
