Just logged into dodmerb and saw that my info was transferred today from Concorde to dodmerb. It said "data received 5 sept" then it also said it that it was reviewed today and that it was entered in. Verbatim, it says "Date exam reviewed" then "medical data entry.". Finally at the top it says qualified! Could my whole file have been reviewed and approved by dodmerb in one day?

Mine was all done in the same day as well. I don't know if we got lucky or if everyone's is like that.

Maybe it was so fast because we both did not need a waiver. How long will it take until it appears on my portal?

Congrats on your qualified statuses! I understand how painfully long the process is. From past experience, I know that it usually takes 2-3 weeks for the it appear on your admissions portal. It is updated by your USAFA counselor at their discretion. Do not worry if you don't see it, as USAFA will know that you are qualified either way. I wouldn't call and bother your counselor about updating it either. Congrats again and good luck!

I'm not applying to USAFA, only USMA, but I understand what you're saying. Thanks for your thoughts.

My status also went from review to "qualified" in the same day. Way to go DoDMERB!

Y'all are seeing the one of benefits of applying early!
Early application = early DoDMERB exam = quick DoDMERB evaluation = early Qualified ( :yay: ) or early DQ which gives the candidate time on their side to resolve the DQ. :thumb:
Even with WP's new policy of eliminating rolling admissions this year, this is one of the many reasons why candidates should still apply early.

Not to question your service choice but why would you NOT apply to all three SAs? Part of most MOC evaluations for a nomination is why you want to serve. Do you have a back up plan B? C? If you say you want to serve your country are you willing to do it in any of the services? After all you can make USMA your first choice and if you happen to get offers from USAFA and USNA you can turn those down if you get option A. BTW, DD is USNA Class of 16 so GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!

I am only applying to USMA and for the ARTOC scholarship as well and while I can not speak for Eaglescout I can say that I do not want to be in any other branch. Not that there is anything wrong with them, they just are not for me. I want to be an infantry officer and I HATE being on boats so the Navy and marines won't work and the Air Force does not have infantry so that is why I am only applying for the Army.

And of course if all that doesn't work out I will enlist into the reserves and go to college and then gain commission through OCS.

I am applying to USMA and AROTC. I personally do not understand the whole mindset that applying to all academies is the best thing. To repeat Art.Perea, I went scuba diving last summer and realized I don't like boats. And sure one could say there are jobs in the navy that are not on boats, yes I understand that, but one's whole mission would be to protect America's interests at sea, so no matter what job I had, underlying the job would be the sea, which is why I picked army. It's what I want to do. I'm not going to go into another long tangent on air force, but you get the picture. My thoughts are to apply to where you actually want to serve, because even though the country's goals are chief, our personal goals should matter some.

For those that just got their approval after dodmerb having the file for one day....can I ask when you had your exam? And what date dodmets says your files were sent to dodmerb?
If I'm reading the dodmets info correctly, it looks like my D's exam files were sent from dodmets to dodmerb on Aug 30, but when she puts in her ssn and bday in dodmerb, it says no file found.
Thanks!
