online it suggests two years of a modern foreign language. Due to scheduling conflicts I will only be able to complete one year of Spanish. Would I still have a chance at admission with only the one year?

Foreign language is a suggestion not requirment. Some schools don't even offer foreign language. You'll be fine

Agree with what FlyFalcon said, you should be OK. If you are that worried about it and have a little freetime, maybe you could learn it via duolingo, babbel, etc. Not sure how admissions would see that, but it's got to be positively viewed.

What I recommend to do, is to take a foreign language class through a community college. My high school offers dual credit classes, however, like you, I had a scheduling conflict. I was advised to do a summer online class and I've found the workload to be manageable enough that it wouldn't be an issue if I had to do it along side my actual high school classes. I'm not sure if other high schools do this, but mine will take your college transcript and merge it with your high school transcript. It's an easy way to beef up academics and GPA, not to mention it shows initiative and commitment.
Hope this helps!

We don't know your school, district, or your total application package. But if someone set up a poll - i'd pick Yes, still have a chance with 1 year of language.

Your two best sources will be YOUR ALO, FFR, BGO and your GC. They will have a pulse on the candidates from your school, area, and how the Academy will view your situation. Check with your high school to make sure you are meeting the district requirements. My DD's district requires 2 classes of language other than English.

Now, assuming it's not a pivotal admissions factor and you meet your district requirements: I don't agree to take a class - this is my advice for your specific situation. What worked for others - only works for others. I HANDS DOWN recommend you spend this time studying for the ACT/SAT, given your prior posts and current scores. Blast from ACT 25 to 30+, score a perfect CFA, and/or work on meaningful leadership roles. And for whatever classes you are taking in lieu of language - hopefully those are higher level chem, phys, english, comp sci - do well in those classes. You need to show you can do well in those at USAFA, and you'll be taking 2 language classes.
