As a class of 2025 hopeful, I have been glued to my phone the last couple of days. I read that if I receive an appointment, I will be notified via a phone call. However, I wanted to ask at what time that fateful event will occur. Do I need to be near my phone at all hours, or do the AOs only call at certain times during the day? Also, if I am unable to answer their call, how will I be notified of my status change?

Good luck to all of the other hopefuls!

I received a text first and was asked if I was available for a phone call. But I do recommend that if you see an odd number call you that you answer it :). Good luck to you 🎉🎉

Our DS was out when he got the phone call but the AO left a message with a phone number to call. He called back and was told he received an appointment. He was thrilled to get the call. Good luck!

I don't think there is a set time really. Last year my daughter missed the call from her AO because she was on the bus on the way to a track meet. She tried to call back when she got there, but her AO was not available. She ended up texting back and forth with the Track Coach after the meet before she could talk to the AO, and the coach let her know she had gotten the appointment.

First evidence of a suspected appointment for my son was an email from the coach inquiring if my son had time for a phone call that day. My son was in school and responded to the email letting him know when he’d be available. He could hardly concentrate on anything and texted asking if I thought he’d get a call to decline him. I told him I didn’t think so, but you never know. His coach called at the time my son indicated and notified him of his appointment. Later that day, my son got a cold call from his AO with the same news. Fortunately, he was able to answer. Two days later, his Bears Den updated and he could click on the official letter. So don’t worry - they let you know multiple ways.

My daughter received a phone call from a coach last year on March 27 and it was around 9pm. We were on spring break in south Florida.

My DD received a call from admissions and missed it on December 21st. They left a message and she called back and received her appointment. I wouldn't stress about missing the call. Like the old saying goes, "A watched pot never boils."

Recommend you answer calls from the CT area codes: 860 and 959 (also 203 and 475, but those two are from another part of the state).

But don't worry too much--they know where to find you! They actually called my number looking for DD. I didn't recognize the area code and thought it was spam so didn't answer. Later, I checked the area code and saw it was in CT. That's funny, who would be calling me from CT? In the meantime, the AO had figured out DD's number and reached her.
