Question about appointment

As you all may know tomorrow is the deadline to accept an appointment to USMMA. I received an appointment sometime ago, but I would rather accept my appointment to the Coast Guard Academy. Unfortunately, my medical waiver hasn't been granted for USCGA yet, but it has for USMMA.

Is it possible to accept my USMMA appointment tomorrow before the deadline and then decline it if I get a waiver to USCGA?

Asking for a friend here, thanks guys.

Yes, you can accept and then decline according to other posts on here.
 
Hello,
I'm actually in a similar boat. I was notified on 28 April, and I am wondering if accepting the appointment is binding in some way (I assume not, as there is no contract).

You’re correct. Others have said a bunch of times on here that it is not binding.
 
You are correct - accept today and should your opinion change prior to INDOC you can inform the school you have changed direction. There are no legal or financial ramifications.

Okay, and to accept my appointment I just have to hit accept in my portal, is that right?

Just want to confirm, my status on the portal says “accepted offer”, that means I accepted the appointment and I don’t have to do anything else correct?
