Hello all

Do I need to submit a PFT report before I am cleared for a PMS interview? If not, what will I need to submit?

Thanks

No you do not need to conduct the PT test prior the interview. You really just need to submit everything else and make sure your SAT/ACT scores are sent and confirmed. You won't show up on the PMS's "data base" if something is missing so make sure you follow up on the PMS after the interview.

Also, is this what is being used to score the fitness test??

Since the scholarship PT test is just a 1-1-1 instead of a 2-2-2, there's no score chart (at least from my experience). A lot of highly experienced people on this forum usually just say "do your best." But if you can at least do the minimum repetitions of 2 minute push up (42) and 2 minute sit ups (53) in 1 minute then you should be okay. For the run, keep it within or less than 7 minutes

What do you think it says if you show up for the interview without submitting essays or your PFT?
Each PMS is different and some will be more accommodating than others. At Clarkson, when an applicant contacts me to schedule an interview I will check their file. I will ask them to submit essays and complete their PFT if possible. When you come for your interview my PMS will have a print out of your transcripts, essays, and application. If you show up for an interview and I have to tell the PMS “this is all I’ve got...he/she didn’t bother to do their essays yet, and can’t find the 20 minutes it takes to do a PFT” the interview won’t start off well.

Here’s a link that will help answer your PFT question.

I have one more question—the instructions say to upload a final 11th grade transcript. Is a report card with grades from my junior year sufficient? Or do I need an official transcript from my school with grades from sophomore to junior year?
Thanks.

Provide what was requested - the transcript. A report card is not a transcript. The transcript would reflect all years of high school to date.

Yeah, they don't want a snapshot now (the report card), they want the whole "video" (the transcript)
