Question about eyeglasses

I am due to update my eyeglasses and will be part of C/O 2019. I am going to be getting some new ones in the next week or so. Are there any considerations I need to be mindful of? Are there requirements for eyeglasses at USMA? Thanks for your guidance here.
 
You will be issued a pair of prescription glasses at the beginning of Beast, affectionately known as BCG (birth control glasses - some cadets don't think they are very attractive). But bring an additional pair or two from home. You may be able to wear them during Beast, but definitely after Beast. If you are asking about frames (color, design), I would go with conservative/tasteful (no bright colors, etc).

My DS doesn't wear/has never worn contacts, so maybe someone else can chime in as to the rules for those.
 
The glasses are not as hideous as in previous years...you still have to wear the issued ones during beast, but after March back, you can wear your own.
 
Yes, it's fine. Mine was allowed his contacts after Aday...not sure what this year's class was allowed, as things change. My DS wears contacts. He'll report in glasses with his contacts stowed away. When allowed, he'll put them on again. He shoots much better w/ his contacts, so it will be frustrating.
