Question about OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE I received?

Hi everyone, I just received a correspondence saying "Candidate File Qualified". Did anyone else receive this? Does this mean that I'm in the waitlist? I'm kinda confused by this so can someone clarify if this is bad or good? Thank you!

Yes it means you are on the waitlist. Literally 5 people have posted about this in the past week. It is all about waiting for an answer now.

Just to be clear, this doesn't mean that you are "waitlisted" like at many other colleges or universities. This simply means that they'll accept you if they have an open slot. Usually about 2,500 are "qualified" and 1,250 are accepted.

My DS got an email from his RC immediately after he received his MOC nomination in late January. It said, Congratulations and "now all that left is for your admissions packet to go in front of the committee". We haven't heard anything since then. Does this email mean he is 3Q'd and likely on the NWL since he hasn't heard anything.

Is he from the Great Lakes region? I got the same thing from my RC in mid January as well and got a 3Q letter not long after. If he hasn't gotten an official letter on his portal saying he is qualified, then he might not have gone before the board. Or he might have and they just didn't bother to put it on your portal. I'm sure someone will say they got an appointment without a 3q letter. All I can say is it's not over till it's over. Its ridiculous they can't tell us earlier and keep us around for as long as they do. The system is messed up.

Yes, he is Great Lakes region. No official anything yet... I agree with your sentiment that it's not over until it's over, but at this point, he's starting to assume Plan B will be put in to action.

Same situation here, except we are in the western states.

Portal says all complete (green), including two Congressional noms., CFA, and medical. But no 3Q letter yet. No TWE yet either.

May 1, is the deadline for our DS other colleges that he got accepted. So will now out plan B into action.
