Question about presidential and disabled/deceased nomination

Does the Children of Deceased or Disabled Veterans nomination supersede the presidential nomination? When I sent the appliation form I sent both my dad's DD-214 and VA statement form, but on the site it only showed the Children of Deceased or Disabled Veterans. I am wondering if it is similar to the USAFA nomination where the presidential nomination gets superseded.

I believe, and correct me if I am wrong, that you can only get one of these nominations and not both.

Yes, those eligible for the Deceased/Disabled Veterans nomination do not get a presidential nomination.
