I just got a letter of assurance but I’m in ROTC and will contract probably when I pass my PT test for the scholarship money. Will this mean I would have an additional obligation to the Army when I’m all said and done?
@ROOM777: Looks like you’re planning to go hard in PRT to secure your scholarship. Very smart move. As I’m sure you know, an LOA is conditional, and you may or may not be able to fulfill the condition. Also, unfortunate things do happen between receiving offer of appointment and showing up for R-Day. So you’re wise to have (keep, actually) a Plan B in place until you actually scream “I do!” Best wishes to you.
