Okay, I'm a Junior and I just found out yesterday I was accepted to the second session for the 2018 summer seminar. I am not entirely sure on what the implications of this are, (I went to STEM in 2016) but my main concern is that I applied on the 4th of March and was accepted on the 6th of March, because I was expected at least a couple weeks of wait time. I'll run over my resumé really quickly also.
2 Varsity letters in Football and baseball, I am the starting Varsity quarterback and was the football team captain this year as voted on by my teammates. (And last year as well for jv.) I've also lettered in baseball since my freshman year.
I'm a PO3 in the Seacadets, have acted as ALPO and LPO of my division, and graduated from POLA (petty officer leadership academy) in August of 2017 at AFTC Rilea.
I am in the National Honor Society, have a 4.0 UW GPA and am an IB Diploma candidate with over 100 hours community service.
I am in my schools "Boys to Men" club, and we have been involved throughout the community and have participated in numerous assemblies at other high schools.
I'm involved in a group at my church, and worked a part-time job at mcdonalds in the off season.
I also admin an instagram history page called @warpixs with almost 4500 followers, (not sure if this matters or not but I'm proud of it.)
My ACT also wasn't amazing, a 28 overall.
So with all this in mind, my major questions are a) do I have a strong record for the academy in general and b) what does it mean that I was accepted within 2 days? And help at all would be appreciated. Thank you!
