2/7 appointments - When did you submit your final application paperwork to USNA?

As in when do you sign to commit? Happens during reform coming back for 2/C year. No going back after showing up to your first class of the year.

DS final portion of application was done in July. He did take another CFA in late July *just to see* if he could improve basketball throw...which he did as well as his pull ups from 17 to max of 18. This was *finally* updated in September. Improved ACT/SAT scores were sent through the December test date. Our nominations interviews were very late and our MOC's do coordinate so that was the hold up is my guess.

If you get resoonses...you will see answers all over the place. When you complete your application has no bearing on the Appointment date. Purely (educated ) speculation on my part, but if there is a rush of appointments in the next week, its likely very competitive candidates who Admissions identified as close, but not quite, LOA material, but wanted to wait until all applications and nominations were in before making the offer.

As always, don't try to read too much into any development---there are still many, many , applications that have not even been reviewed yet. Be patient.

I have to agree with Old Navy. Don’t read too much into it.
We had prepared ourselves to be waiting until April 15th. Plan B was solid and DS was still filling out scholarship apps as well.
The fact that it came so soon after the application window closed was a blessing to be sure but certainly does not denote any one candidate is any more deserving. ALL of the young men and women who go through this process are deserving IMO.

Where you from in SC? We are from Irmo. Class of 17 and class of 20

I have seen zero correlation between timing of appointments after 2/1 and timing of submission of packets, other than someone who finished his/her USNA package the last week of January is unlikely to see an appointment the first week of February.

DS finished application beginning of August. Took Medical exam in September but not fully medically qualified by DOD until Jan 15.
