Don't know for certain but I would guess that they have general information about the candidate but probably not access to the file.

No. Prior to the interview, Admissions Partners only know the applicant's name and home town. This is on purpose because one of the main reasons of the interview is to gather information about the applicant beyond grades, test scores, and what is already in the application.

An admissions partner (AP) told DD that the AP was tasked by Admissions with asking DD about her grades but was not told anything else.
