Probabably not the correct place to post this but dont know where you would. I read that when you go to UPT, you are suposed to to bring X number copies of your orders, which is easy. However they also ask for you copies of your medical and dental records. I am assuming they mean the records created when he did his full flight physical at the Air Force base and not his records since he was a kid. Do they mail you your copies of your medical records when you get your orders, if not how to you access them? I know this is question for those who kids have finished Rotc and have gone on to AD

He is out of town on vacation . I was just reading up on the pdf they hand out and was just curious

Zeus, I would agree with you if Humey were making phone calls to USAF command on behalf of his son, but this website is intended to be a friendly and welcoming resource for EVERYONE who is interested in seeking information on SA/ROTC and officer accession.

He has to access them himself. If I recall correctly with my DS he received a copy of his flight physical records about 6 weeks after he passed it from WPAFB.
DS was an AF brat and when Bullet retired the AF placed all of his medical records on a CD Rom. He hand carried both the FC1 records and the CD with him to UPT.
For other posters and lurkers I have always advised that even when they start college to go to their family doctor with a CD rom and ask them to scan/download all of their medical records and take it with them to college.
~ We did this with all of our children. Things happen and G forbid there is a medical emergency they have easy access. Our DD took ill her jr yr and her friends in her sorority had to rush her to the ER in the middle of the night. She had the sense of mind to grab it. The ER doc was impressed because it made his life easier from a diagnosis issue, including medicinal allergies. After that night all of the girls living in the sorority house did the exact same thing as soon as they could. It is now common practice at that sorority for all of them to have a medical CD rom.

thanks, I appreciate it. Actually, I was just googling the AFB website and the UPT pdf showed up and I was reading it. I dont know if he even knows it exists. At this point, he hasnt received anything from the AF one way or another but I am planner and love to look thing s up

Something he might not know about is what the military calls a DITY. Do It Yourself. When he PCSs to his UPT base he will be allowed X amount of lbs. that they will ship. He can fill up his car with everything. Weigh the car empty. Weight it full. They than do their fuzzy math deciding what the cost differential is, and VOILA he gets a paycheck for moving that himself. That amount is not taxable.
~ Just think smart about what you pack. Flat screen TV? Not so much. The 10 lb bar bells? Oh heck Yes! Reason why is shipping the TV the military insures it if something happens. It also takes up too much room. The 10lb bar bells can be placed underneath the car seat and they can't break.
