Questionable letter?

I had a 2120 SAT and a 3.3 GPA. I even failed the CFA at summer seminar, so I did not think I had a chance of getting in. How many LOAs do the naval academy give out?

I wouldn't count yourself out just yet. 2120 isn't bad, esp. if you had a high math score. 3.3 gpa isn't bad either esp. if you're taking advanced classes (AP, gifted, IB..etc). I don't know your stats but it's entirely possible to be accepted with a 2120 SAT score and 3.3 gpa. As for the CFA, well, that can always be retaken.

Don't give up just yet.:thumb:

don't worry!

You still have a chance. I mean I wasn't sure if I would be getting anything but, boy did I get a nice surprise one day after coming back from school!

Your chances are what you make of them, and it is to your disadvantage to write your-self off prematurely. Presumably you have been working hard to improve your grades, updating your candidate file with your latest accomplishments, and training to improve your CFA, correct?? If not, why not? Attention to detail, and persistence are virtues that are important to the success of candidates. You have entered the crunch zone, don't plan to sit on your laurels just yet, there have been many competitors in all venues of endeavor who lost in the homestretch, by someone who was keeping focus on the goal.
