Hello,
I am applying to USNA and USAFA, and I was medically disqualified by DODMERB and will need a waiver. On the DODMERB site, it says under waiver review for both. I have heard conflicting information about the waiver process. Does each SA only process waivers if the candidate is determined competitive, and if so, when can I expect this process to start assuming I am deemed competitive, and how can I know if it has started?
Also, when should I be concerned if nothing has happened?

Thanks!

If you read through recent posts on DoDMERB you will find considerable information on this topic. Just in the last week even 24 hours, there are multiple threads addressing your questions. In summary, a waiver will be requested if and when you are considered competitive for an appointment which could be tomorrow, next month, or for many, a request may never come. Know that you are not alone, many candidates, some that were disqualified months ago, are still "under waiver review" and waiting. Take a look in the DoDMERB forum - I think you will find a lot of helpful information there.

OfficerToBe750 is correct.

One clarification: On the DoDMERB site "Under Waiver Review" means ONLY that all documents as of the latest posted date of that status are available for the SA or ROTC medical teams for their review when directed by Admissions (SA) or policy (ROTC).:wiggle:
