Questions, Chatter, Congrats for the 2026 USAFA Appointment Thread

My DS received the TWE tonight. Heartbreaking for him. On to plan B and to start application process again. I give those of you credit that have been through it more than once. Tough pill to swallow.
Make sure he tries again. If he made it this far it was lack of spaces no lack of ur DS’s talent …

Sadly we had a close prep friends receive a TWE today.... Hurts knowing I won't have their jokes going into basic.
My son was one of your classmate up there at NWP. (Self prep). He's pretty down about not joining you all up their again on I day.
Hopefully, this time next year, he'll be joining you as c/o 2027.
He's still VERY determined! Most likely, he's gonna self-prep again, with Greystone at U of Ozarks, while doing yr 1 of ROTC.

So historically, what does it mean if someone doesn't hear back on "judgement day"?
It means that you may still have a chance for an appointment…but it also means that you should really move out with a purpose on your plan B. Best wishes that all works out for the best!

Thanks for being great everyone! It's been a lot of fun riding along the rollercoaster of service academy admissions with y'all. If you haven't already seen my status chance, I unfortunately received my TWE today. I am working on putting together a great summer program for myself and building competitiveness for C/O '27 and continuing to excel in AFROTC as I have been.

Free socks or bust!

Moho- I admire your tenacity and revel in your humor! I honestly wish nothing but the best for you. Just remember- nothing that is easy is worth fighting for. Best wishes for a successful run at the c/o 2027!!!

I'm sure I can ask for an extra pair for socks when you get here for 2027 I-day. You'll just find them on your bed waiting knowing you made it.

It truly is a great program. Any of you (or your DD/DS) who recieved a TWE today and is going to AFROTC next year, I encourage you to send me a PM about what it's like. It varies a lot by detachment, but I believe I've learned a lot in the past year which could be helpful to new C/4Cs.

Glad someone likes my humor. I think my parents set me down this road when I watched Airplane! and George Carlin as an 8-year-old. And thank you!!! Third time's the charm! Getting a TWE this time was a totally different feeling, and I really look forward to building my kit for next year.

I mean... how can I say no to that... it's free socks

I really admire your dedication and passion towards USAFA and serving your country. It's very inspirational. You're going to apply a third time? WOW. Best wishes on the rest of your college journey alongside AFROTC and hoping you success for the c/o 2027. Don't give up on your dreams. Whatever path you take, you have an incredible and beautiful future ahead! Good luck and be proud of all the hard work, motivation, and things you have accomplished throughout this challenging journey.

When was the latest that someone has gotten their TWE today? The latest I've heard is 10:45 CDT

I’m not sure, but I still haven’t heard anything yet so I’m not sure what to even think. Or if I’ll have a decision before tomorrow

I will take all the wishes I can! I'm really glad I've inspired at least some people here. The kindness of this community has been overwhelming. Good luck to you as well!

TWE for my son as well. He accepted USMMA so he will be there on July 8th and hopefully will meet a few from these forum. This journey started many years ago and the application ride started probably one year ago. Crazy times. Good luck to all of you ladies and gentlemen in whatever you do. From my heart I wish you all the very best.
Same for us. So thankful we received news from USMMA yesterday!

I am a parent of a current C1C. I have been quietly rooting for you (along with others). Wishing you the very best.

Happy to have you on Team Moho! Good luck to your DD/DS with graduating :)
