where can we find dates for i-day 2020-2021‽
When will we know where and when basic training will take place? #RPI #NROTC

My daughter received an email with the dates yesterday:

Cycle 1: May 21-June 17
Cycle 2: June 18-July 15
Cycle 3: July 16-August 12

She has already been scheduled for Cycle 1 but she submitted a request to move to Cycle 3 since she doesn't graduate until June 17. I am hoping they are able to accommodate. I have a feeling this may be the case for many students.

Assuming they didn't send everyone emails yet regarding I day. I received (and accepted) my scholarship a few weeks ago but have not received anything yet.

I'm sorry to have to ask but...
Did you pay to the college the "I'm accepting fee?"

I saw that your daughter is going to RIT on scholarship, question did you pay the $500 or was it waived?

So with the scholarship you still had to pay the deposit? Ok good to know. Thank you
I am uncertain if my case was different because my scholarship is pending a medical waiver, it will not be applied until I receive one. From my understanding of how things work, I (and my parents) will be responsible for paying my tuition until I am deemed medically qualified (fingers crossed) which could happen well into the school year. Then the scholarship would reimburse us for tuition and fees paid.

Sorry - should have replied directly to your question. No, the deposit wasn't waived. My daughter called the admissions office and was told that the deposits aren't covered by the scholarship. I'm sure if they figure out later that it does, we'll get reimbursed.

Congrats to your future mid! Mine will be graduating RPI next month, and yes, you still need to pay the deposit! If I am not mistaken, at some point in the future the university credits it back to your child's account. Best of luck- it is not an easy school!
