Hello,

I received/accepted by Navy ROTC scholarship a couple of days ago and I was reading through what I have to do, and I had a few questions

I was deemed medically qualified by DoDMERB when I applied to the Naval Academy and that translated to my NROTC application. In the email and documents that were sent to me, it seems as I have to take another test but this time to be physically qualified. Is this correct? or am I already qualified.
I am assuming that everyone who has received an ROTC scholarship already went through medical exams and was qualified or had a waiver, and now that the scholarship was received, there is a new medical process we have to go through.

Physically qualified - Physical Fitness Test
Medically qualified - DoDMERB qualified. DoDMERB qualified for USNA carries over to DoDMERB qualified for NROTC. You do NOT have to undergo any additional medical exams. :wiggle:

Not sure about NROTC, but for my DD, she must past her fitness test the first semester to be fully enrolled with her scholarship.

So if it was already pulled for my USNA application, it won’t show if it was pulled for NROTC?

Not exactly sure what this means, but if you are DoDMERB Qualified for USNA, it is my understanding that you will also be DoDMERB Qualified for NROTC. However, there is a separate box that will appear for NROTC on your DoDMERB Portal.

The correct response is: If you are downloaded to DoDMERB as a valid applicant from USNA Admissions...and you are DODMERB qualified...you will be DODMERB qualified for NROTC "IF" you are awarded a scholarship.:wiggle:
