On my congresswoman’s page it states that one should request papers from the office for a nomination. What are these papers and how do they differ from the seemingly nomination application that is online to fill out on her website? I see the online application is mostly just scores and grades I’m assuming the forms requested gets the opened ended “why I want to attend a service academy” questions to apply to the nomination interview/nomination itself. Thx!

Every MOC is different. They can be. It’s their privilege to run their application process any way they want to. So follow through, pay attention to detail, do all that’s asked. Simple as that.

Every MOC is different. Don't assume anything. Call the office, introduce yourself and politely ask about the process.

Thanks guys... I’ll be calling them tomorrow.

Also look at MOC’s web site. Many have academy days in the fall and they usually have the date on the web site. Try to attend an academy day and soak up all the info. that you can.
