Quick question regarding 7th semester transcript.

I submitted my application in early September with my Junior year transcript. On the forums I have seen many people talking about sending in 7th semester transcripts so I am curious if that is something I need to do. My application page says completed and my regional counselor has not requested them. Do I need to send them in? Is that fact that they didn't request them a bad sign? My backup plan is complete so I'm not stressed out, but I am curious. Thanks!

We tried to send it but they wouldn’t take it unless requested. Weird

My son has his school send it and his portal updated with the new "receipt" date for HS transcript. It wasn't requested though but thought it couldn't hurt as grades were great.

Should I be worried if mine were requested, and the date in my portal wasn’t updated after they were sent? However I was emailed saying they were received and scanned and uploaded to my file.

At first I tried sending my transcript myself electronically (to my admissions counselor), but it has to be sent from the school directly to USNA in the mail

I am not Admissions just a parent obviously but I think it is not a bad sign if requested - you are still in the running, and since you got email confirmation that would be enough for me. Keep the faith.

My DS asked his USNA admissions counselor if he needed to send his. The counselor stated that he didn't need to send them.

Don't give the military more paperwork than they ask for.

If USNA is asking for transcripts it normally means that your academic record is not so strong enough to clearly make a qualification determination on initial review, thus the Admissions Board wants to wait. If USNA does not request a 7th semester transcript, it likely means one of the following: (1) the academic record is outstanding, thus there is no need to wait an additional semester to make a decision; (2) the academic record is way below standards, that a 7th semester would not help one way or another; (3) the overall record is below standards, that academics would not sway a decision. A request for 7th semester transcript is in no way a "bad" thing, it just is needed to help the Admissions Board make a final decision.

my kid did... there was somewhere in the website that stated it was applicant responsibility to send them as they were not going to be requested..

I saw it as a “test”, his GPA went up and it got updated on his portal
