Hey guys,

I just wanted to see what you guys think my chances are of getting accepted to the Class of 2014 are. I have a 3.99 GPA, ranked 4/538, and a 1760 SAT score. I'm on a swim team and I've received two varsity letters and multiple county times. As far as leadership goes, I'm Deputy Commander of my CAP squadron, Eagle Scout, and Asst. Scoutmaster for my troop.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated,

Hayden

Looks awesome! Great GPA and rank, but is that your SAT score out of 2400? It's not bad, but I think you could do better. Also, I'm not sure how much USNA takes them into account, but if the ACT is offered, a good score on those will probably help.

As for the leadership spots, those are awesome. You're way ahead of where I was this time last year!

Best of luck
Geoff

looking very good!! btw, what rank do you have in CAP? most deputy's are cadet officers, but some smaller squadrons have senior NCO's serving. if you haven't already gotten you're Mitchell, get it! Earhart wouldn't be bad either. and if you get that, go for Eaker/Spaatz. good luck! :thumb:

Hayden,
As mentioned by others, class rank and GPA are great, SAT is okay. Leadership looks good too, Eagle Scout carries alot of weight. Keep up what you're doing, the Admissions board likes to see folks do things long term, since the academy experience is a four-year marathon. Keep at it!

I should be getting my ACT scores back soon, but I'm pretty sure I did better than I did on the SAT. Bigcox, I got my Mitchell about two months ago and I'm working towards the Earhart!

Thanks for the input!!!

good! work at it. and when you have to get letters of rec., don't be afraid to get your squadron commander or wing commander to see if they can write one for you. it helped me out alot. good luck! :thumb:

Very impressive class standing, extra curriculars and leadership...You look good with everything but SAT's... I would buy an SAT study book or invest in a course (there are definately some skills and "tricks" that will help you improve your score) and take them again in May and then again in October if need be. Good luck I have no doubt that with your GPA and class standing you can improve those scores.
