I just sent in a preliminary application yesterday, how soon will I hear from the USNA? If I do end up getting an appointment will it be for the class of 2013 or 2014? Also i'm currently a sophmore in college and im 18 years old, graduated in the top 7% of my highschool class, took numerous AP classes including all the required USNA classes, and was involved in academic afterschool programs (NHS, Stuco, etc....), how strong do you think my app would be?
 
I'm guessing it would be 2014...Pretty sure the 2013 class is already filled up. A little late to be accepted for 2013 now.

Your college academic record will trump all you have done in HS. The admissions folks use GPA, class standing, SAT/ACT to predict how a cadidate will do in the difficult academic environment at USNA. Your college record will be a much better indicator of that now. Based on your posts in other threads, the question will be, "What have you done in college?"
