Quitting AFROTC

Hi everyone,

I'm a contracted AFROTC cadet in my 2nd semester of college. For a number of reasons, I've made the decision that ROTC isn't for me. I'm ready to quit but I'm not sure how. Does anyone have any insight on the process? I assume I just talk to one of my cadre and go from there. Thanks in advance!

believe you have til first day of soph year to walk away… but talk to casre because i’m sure there is paperwork

May I ask why? Was ROTC your idea or your parents? Is it the school? Just curious.

Is there a reason you wouldn't finish out the semester? As a contracted cadet, that would indicate scholarship. Do you have other means to pay for your semester?
