R-Day

Get a band & a bar and practice a few times a day. Watch the videos produced by the Marine Corps--from when they introduced pull ups as a requirement for Marines who are women. LTC Misty Posey was in those videos. I am not able to share a link here...but they are easy to find. Again, you have to practice more than once a day.
Edited to add: Are they going to send you home for not being able to do a pull up? No, they are not--but you can do it between now and next week.
Thank you, Im working on them. I can do a rocky pullup on a good day, just trying to hone in over this last week.

Make sure your kid eats something and maybe carry a snack bar & bottle of water for him or her while you are standing in line.
For the cadet candidates, it is game day. They picked you because they know you have the stuff to make it. You’ve got this. And yes, it is totally normal during CBT to spend those nights staring at the ceiling, eyes leaking, while quietly regretting all of your life’s choices. It is part of the process. It is over quickly. Just live from meal to meal and wake up to sleep. It is six weeks, the first three are about how to be a cadet and getting all of your stuff and the last 3 are about being in the field. In between there is ice cream and technology! There are great memories to be made!
This is exactly what my OG said. He said he was too tired to sleep, just laying there thinking about all his buddies playing game comfortably at home and wondering what he was doing here :D

My dental information has not cleared on the portal yet. I know that everything should be good, but I'm still unsure whether it will affect anything on R-day. I have my dental x-rays that I am going to bring also. Do I just bring those and not worry about it?

It is ok. Just carry your X ray. They won’t send you home if you are not yet cleared for dental. You have other things to think about this week. Sleep late, work out, hug your mama.
