Hey guys! I'm wondering if anyone has any information on cheer tryouts at USMA. Anything from tumbling requirements, stunting skills needed, tryout dates during CBT, or commitments Rabs have during the academic year. Any information is helpful :)

I don't know if this makes a difference, but I just got my LOA so hopefully I'll be good to go for an appointment

    Thank you!

Are you sure? I was under the impression they had no more LOAs

4.3 GPA weighted, 3.8 unweighted. I've taken 12 AP Classes including the one's in my current senior schedule. National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation member. SAT superscore around 1850, ACT superscore composite is 31. Varsity Track and Field for four years, Varsity Cheerleading for three years, two years of Junior Varsity soccer, and one year of Junior Varsity Cross Country. I also am the commander of the statewide unit for a program called the California Cadet Corps, almost the same sort of program as JROTC. I have tons of awards through that program from completing a 5-day wilderness survival training and placing at certain events/competitions. I'm involved with about 4-5 clubs at school as well. Other than that, I'm a choir member, and I have many community service hours done at my local church.

I'm already medically qualified and have recieved my LOA. Just waiting to hear back from my Congressman about a nomination. Hope that answers your question!

I'm hoping to bump this up and get the original question answered as I'm interested, too. Maybe OP got on the team?

It is probably better to start a new thread rather then tack onto one that was started 2 yrs ago. Those participants may no longer be active here and/or what was true a few years ago may no longer be current information. It can create confusion when people don't notice the date of posting and jump into an older conversation.
