Rated Supplemental Board

Slots are out! I got CSO!
Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, what were your scores? And why did you have to go before the supplemental board instead of the regular board? Did you wait until your scores were higher before applying?

I don't mind at all. GPA is 3.9, commander's ranking is #1, PFA is 97.8, FT is middle third, PCSM is around a 30 (the AFOQT was converted again this summer and it dropped some). I went up for the regular board, but only got applied for Pilot because I didn't realize putting everything else at medium would kick me out of the running. I changed my priorities to high and got CSO the second time around!

Congratulations! I am surprised slots have been released . My son was told final packets for the supplemental board were due
Sept. 29.

So what was the final drop like? How many were awarded?

OBTW congrats usaaffan! Now when you are on casual status study the BOLD for IFT. I believe the CSO program at Pueblo is shorter than the pilot program. If you have the chance to do some flying try to get some flight hours in. Cross winds typically are the hard thing to get under control.

Good look. Bullet flew the F15E as a WSO for @15 years. He started off in the 111.

My CC told me there were around 7 slots available each for CSO, ABM, and RPA. I haven't seen it with my own eyes though so I am not sure. I believe there were about 200 alternates, so about 10% should have been picked up (if everyone chose to stay on the list).

Thanks for the advice, Pima! I've seen Bullet's posts over the past few years and they make me so excited to have a shot at it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the flight physical goes well.

Just so you can see what drops are like out of UNT, here was the last drop.
15-15

B-52 x6 (5 WSO, EWO)
F-15E x3
B-1B
U-28
E-3 x2 NAV
E-8 x2 NAV
EC-130 x3 NAV
RC-135 EWO
MC-130H EWO

That is a pretty common drop. I would not expect more than 3 F15E WSOs out of a drop.

I know this may be outdated, but here's my rated/supplemental board struggle-turned-opportunity: Didn't get any slot in the Feb 2015 board, ended up getting picked up for RPA in Fall 15 along with my other buddy who also went unselected, then just this past Tuesday (19 Jan) my commander calls and says HQ offered me a pilot slot! Call it a blessing or a stroke of good fortune, I didn't even think this could or would happen to me before I commission this year. All I can say is that there's still hope the AF could offer pilot slots to RPA or even CSO before some of us graduate. Don't lose hope!
