While not required, in my opinion you should introduce yourself with a concise, respectful, grammatically correct email to the appropriate individual(s). It would be best to send this once you have at least submitted initial information and become an official candidate so the recipient will have some context.
The appropriate individuals would be the Regional Commander (RC) for your area and the Diversity Officer, if you are a diversity candidate. Contact information for both is on the website. You can also send a similar email to the appropriate Field Force Representative (FFR).
