I was a yuk who left in December 2015. I resigned for a variety of reasons. I wasn't the best academically. I had my difficulties physically. On top of that i got hurt. All and all i wasnt ready for the academy, i took my opportunity for granted. I wasnt focused and i paid the price.

Now I have been thinking about this for a while and i know i missed my opportunity for applying for the fall of 2017, so I guess i should wait for the Fall of 2018. But I know almost nothing about the reapplication process other than that there is one. Could someone give me pointers as to what i need to do to reapply?

I dont know if they would let me start in the winter so id be willing to restart my yuk year. Also i got hurt shortly before Buckner and still would need to finish that

Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is an admissions officer that is responsible for former cadets so contact the admissions office to find out who.

The application processs is similar to as if you were applying new. My understanding is getting a nomination could be your biggest challenge. Why should your Congressman give you another shot?

Well when i applied the first time, it was me and a female friend of mine competing for our local congressman's nomination. She got it. I received a secretary of the army nomination because my father is a 100% disabled veteran from Vietnam. Would i be able to use that again?

The first thing they will ask you, how have you improved/prepared yourself? How have you changed to be better equipped to succeed?

Though life lesson.

Do you have some stellar college grades to show this time? Physical improvement? After watching these boards for years, the only re-admits I've seen are cadets who leave for a year or two mission...not to discourage you, but it is extremely rare. If you don't try, you will never know.

Something new, ask the admissions, but by guess is yes. Keep in mind, service connected nominations are up to, not must fill. West Point can fill up to 20 slots using SDAV nomination, so they could only take 10.
