Here we are on April 15 and application is still in the ready to review status. What should we think about this?

Best suggestion is to contact your admissions officer, not much that we can help you with here. B

He tried emailing his AO and no response. Last week and yesterday. No response. Super frustrating. At this point we would take any answer.

If his AO does not respond, try a different one. Not all are equally good at answering emails. Also, the candidate can reach out to admissions by phone if email is not working.

My DS and just did an overnight at the Academy a couple days ago. In our meeting with admissions we were told that the majority of “on hold” candidates will begin receiving appointments immediately after May 1st. This is the date that current Appointments must be confirmed or immediately drop off - as well as the date for acceptance at most other SAs. My DS has a USMMA appointment but also other SA appointments and this trip was his final step in his decision making process.

My son's just recently went to "ready for review" status last week. he had a call from a commander that asked him for a copy of his birth certificate.

hello, current applicant to USMMA. been on ready for review for a while and gotten all files and everything is good to go. Currently as well to hear back from the academy.

I'm in the same situation, my status has been listed as under review and I haven't received a response from any email I've sent. I'm more than willing to wait for this opportunity, but many of my back up plans need a decision by May 1st.

I was on hold in March and didn't receive any word of an appointment until like May 5th. If you have other options, pursue them and potentially place a deposit at a plan B school. I was originally committed to FSU before I found out that I was accepted. It sucks if you lose 500 dollars on a deposit, but it's free college.

You're absolutely right. Thank you for the advice, I won't lose hope but I also will still pay attention to my other options.

I questioned the Admission's Department about nominees accepting their appointments before May 1. I was told that
all the Academies cut off date is May 1 so that the date could not be changed. The major problem is that students who have congressional nominations to all or more than one academy are waiting until May 1 to see if they get the academy that they really want. There has to be a better way for those who really want KP to lock in their appointment.

OK, but they shouldn't be ready for review, they should have moved to hold if they are viable... No???

I agree. And now the deadline is extended to May 15 - is this fair? And with Admissions being short staffed and
working from home....

We didn't get an answer for our son until late May one year. Long story short, My son got Prep school offered year 1 in late May, Early May on year 2 - and because there was an injury and he couldn't' go year 2- our answer on year 3, came in April
It's patience, and it should be easier- but it isn't.
