Hello all,

I have read through a great bit of writing regarding the process of reapplying and I am pretty much 100% on everything. I am going to Virginia Tech starting in the Fall of 2013 (assuming I don't get into USMA or USAFA). I will be in NROTC.

I have heard a good bit from my Boy's State counselor from last year who is currently a Mid at Virginia Tech, and he said a lot of reapplicants go to Tech and a lot get into USNA from there. Does anyone know anyone else or have any experience with Tech/USNA? I am planning on taking Calculus, Physics, Chem w/ lab, American history and Freshman Comp, as well as required NROTC courses.

Is Virginia Tech with NROTC a good school to go to for a year? I will most likely not get in this year as I was deemed unqualified due to a semester of grades in my junior year that suffered because of medical reasons. I made a thread about it a few months ago.

Virginia Tech's Corps of Cadets is very well respected. I have an offer for Virginia Tech's program, but I am still waiting to hear from USNA. VT would help prepare you, so yes, it would be an excellent school to attend for a year before reapplying.

I had a candidate a few years ago who attended VT for a year, reapplied to USNA, and was accepted.

That person majored in engineering and did very well in plebe courses.
