Hi everyone!

I applied to West Point last year but did not get a nomination so I am planning on applying again for Class of 2022 and had some questions on the process.

1) For re-applicants when do we start applying again and do we ask our regional commanders to delete my file that I had for last year so I can begin again?

2) Do I have to go through all of the medical and physical tests again?

Thank you!

While waiting for additional responses, search USMA.edu for specific direction to re-applicants. I know USNA Admissions has a complete section on what college courses are recommended and how long DODMERB results are good for.

And, search this USMA forum for "reapplying to USMA." There are at least 5 threads, some fairly recent.

Contact your RC and state your intention to reapply and ask what you can do to improve your chances this time. Then, do everything he/she says...and do it all early. Start your nomination packets now.

1. Most of your application file will remain. When you apply, the admission system willl recognize your SSN and transfer relevant files from your previous application.

2. Medical is good for 2 years. If you got a medical waiver, need to get a new one. Have to take CFA again.
