The situation,

I am enrolled in the IB program and am set to receive the diploma.I also received my appointment in early december to USMA with a presidential nomination. My problem is that I am will probably get a C in IB Chemistry HL for the first semester. Will USMA admissions withdraw an appointment b/c of a C on semester report card? Thanks for any help...

Getting a C, especially in an IB class, should not be a problem. Don't get any D's or F's.

Many cadets are at WP who have C's from a HS class...just don't make them a habit!

yeah. I usually am a A and B student so cs becoming a habit are out of the question. that is really good to know mom3boys. thanks. and daniel lee- 100% IB diploma candidate.

No, it's just one C and for only one semester.

I'd try to bring it up to a B second semester though to be safe.

They will not withdraw your appointment. I can't remember if I got a C that last semester in high school (I think I did), but I can promise you I got a C, and WORSE!!! at the Academy.

Eventually we went with "D for Done" or "2.0 Good to Go", however I would not recommend adopting those mottos, especially if you want to have any kind of say in where you'll be going for your first tour.

My entire county has gotten rid of D's...below 70 is failing...:frown:
