I am down at Marion Military this year for a foundation sponsored prep year. At first of course I was disappointed that I hadn't gotten straight into the academy, but coming here was a great decision. They have the perfect curriculum to prepare you for the academy i.e. Chemistry, English Comp, Pre-calc or Calculus, U.S. History, military science classes and SAT prep classes. I struggled with math in high school, but have been perfoming great down here. The faculty for the Service Academy program is dedicated to each and everyone one of thier students to recieve an appointment. I got mine just last week, It isn't an easy year, which is common becuase it is a military college, but it has been a worthwhile experience. I have become MUCH more academically, physically, and mentally ready becuase of my time here at Marion. Captian Ed Wallace, will serve as your new BGO and he is just as motivated about cadets recieving appointments. He will be in contact with you frequently throughout the year, checking up and making sure everything is right with your file at the academy. Don't be discouraged by getting offered a foundation slot, their are only about 70 of us and it is a great way to become prepared for life at the academy. If you have any other questions please ask. Good Luck!!
