In order to become a candidate, it seems I have to submit a transcript of the various activities I have taken part in. Naturally, I would want to submit the application as soon as possible.
I am a member of National Honor Society. However, recently, the Secretary position was vacated, and I plan to go for it. However, I only get to make my speech at the next meeting in October; then, the Society will vote.
I am fairly certain that I will receive the position, but I cannot make guarantees at all.
Since I want to submit my application as soon as possible, is it possible to leave that box for "National Honor Society -- Secretary" unchecked, and then later edit my status when I have confirmation of my position (or lack thereof, in which case it does not matter)?
Note: this is for the preliminary application, not whatever comes after that -- I am going to assume that the "next stage" is much like USNA/USAFA in that after you are confirmed as a candidate, you receive a list of things to submit, such as the CFA and recommendations.
