Yeah, gee, I recieved a Congressional Nomination to the Naval Academy but the academy still hasn't gotten back to me. I've been waiting forever and I'm starting to lose hope of becoming a candidate. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Most of the appointments aren't offered for till spring anyway. Be happy you received a nomination.... you're one step closer!

I'm not a candidate at all though. I can't access the candidate profile on the academy site. Isn't that due by the end of this month?

It will be available as soon as they hear word of your nomination.

What are your SAT scores/gpa/sports?

If I understand what you are asking, you got a nom sometime ago (months?) and yet you still cannot finish your app because you are not yet deemed to be a candidate .... right?

You may want to contact the SA and ask or contact your BGO (have you ever spoken to him/her?). Tell them that you got a nom in (month) and are very interested but have been unable to complete the full application. With the deadline fast approaching you need to take the bull by the horns and make a phone call.

I haven't spoken to my bgo because I was told he would contact me in the event I became a candidate. I will definitely call both and make an inquiry. Thank you so much for the advice.

It's best to call and check.

I called my point of contact for my SA several times.
