Recognition starts today - what to expect?

1. Do your best in everything, and you will be glad you did for the rest of your USAFA career.
2. Be a team player and a wingman, and help your classmates. Without getting into details, I got a celebratory picture with my fellow 4* squadmates at the end of Recognition. The same group of us reenacted the same photo three years later as firsties. You will carry the memories with you for the rest of your life.
3. Your worth as a cadet is not defined by the events of your Recognition experience and what others say about it.
3. Recognize (bad pun) that Recognition is far from the final training challenge you will experience as a cadet. Proving oneself is something that happens every day, not just during a three-day weekend, and especially not just during the 4* year.
The surprise aspect is part of what makes Recognition meaningful. I recommend not trying to find out beforehand. Good luck to you and your classmates. Take a deep breath, hydrate, and go crush it!
