Recommendations for Application

Does anyone know when we have to turn in our recommendations for the USAFA application? (Not the teacher recommendations but the 3 optional additional recommendations).

I have one more to get and I am waiting to turn them in all at once. I might not be able to get it before the semester is over though. So could I wait till next year? As in the beginning-middle of January to turn them in or will it be too late? Everything else is complete for my application.

From the Online Application: "Candidate admission files must be completed by January 31st to be considered for regular selections in March. The majority of the remaining appointments will be offered at this time."

But why wait? Send in whatever you have now and then follow it up with the remaining recommendation letter.

I agree with Blackbird, send what you have now. These are optional, which means it should not hold your package up. I think the only instance in which they are required is if you are going for a Vice Presidential nomination. While that should not be your only nominating source, you should try to get them in as quickly as possible to keep that possibility open, if you are using it.
