Redacting unrelated medical information?

DS is to send medical and pharmacy records for one specific dq item for waiver request per DodMERB letter. The medical files we received back from DR office seem to have all sorts of information that are for unrelated issues on the same pages.
We have seen tons of advice to "answer exactly what was asked and nothing more". Should he physically black out those unrelated items, or would that look like he is hiding things?

As a disclaimer, he mentioned the unrelated item on his history form but wasn't DQd for it. I just don't want to guide him the wrong way, if the DR requesting tests, etc (which were all negative) makes it look like it is/was worth another look and a possible new DQ item and creates a new hoop to jump through.

Thanks

I would not alter any documents from a third party.

If you want to ask the pharmacy for a document that offers only what they are asking for ... that is one thing.

Redacting something would look suspicious.

Super glad he reported the unrelated stuff. For future applicants, this is yet another reason to be honest on your questionnaire. You never know when unreported (I know this isn’t the case here) info will pop up!

FACTS:

1. Redacting would not be a good idea.
2. Revealing your medical history answers the questions of " CURRENTLY HAVE OR ANY HISTORY OF:" is the correct way to do things, especially is you're going to SAs where there are honor codes. An explanation can always be provided. e.g. = I had condition XXXX when I was 5-7 years old. The issue was resolved and I have not had any complications or symptoms since.
3. Yes, answer the questions that are asked, but in the case JustMe describes, it would be fine.

Thank you all for answering so promptly... that was the way I was leaning as well.

The honor and privilege is mine indeed:)
