So this one is pretty cut and dry...

Last night I received my Type 7 AFROTC scholarship

However, about a month ago I was rejected from UF and FSU...how I didn't get in either, yet got an AFROTC scholarship boggles my mind.

So basically I'm wondering if either school would consider accepting me now, seeing as how I have a scholarship, am an in state student, and really could do great at the schools...

Just wondering if anyone else here has any experience with getting into a previously rejected school after receiving an AFROTC scholarship...do the AFROTC departments try to help these students get in?

If worse comes to worse, I'll be going to UCF.

Call the dets and ask them if they can help. Some ROTC units sit on the admissions board. The problem is you weren't even wait listed, but given a TWE so it might be cut and dry that it is over. You will never know until you contact the units and ask for their assistance.

Yep, emailed them last night; calling today...hopefully though this can be my "in"...UCF has a great detachment, but its absolutely massive, and I'd just prefer to go to a school with a smaller detachment, thus increasing my chances for Field Training...although wherever I go I will do my best; Academics, AFROTC, and fitness! In that order!

Unfortunately UF won't care about the scholarship. Every year there are students are are awarded scholarships and they don't get in. The admissions board there does not take that into consideration and the decisions came out on 2/14. Very, very few appeals actually go through and you have to have serious reasonings as to why they made a mistake. You would have had to have put through your appeal already here.
My son is graduating and commissioning in 5 weeks from UF. The year he went in there were at 2-3 kids who were awarded AROTC scholarships where the schools knew about them prior to the decision date and they were denied admissions.

I don't know about FSU but there is information right on their admissions websites telling you how to appeal.

I'm surprised to hear that UCF is that much bigger than USF.
